lot family is the heart of community at matthias’ lot. these families meet in homes on sundays in and around the city of st. charles at varying times. lot families are diverse in their age and life stage, and visitors are welcome every week!

what to expect

what is the purpose of lot families?

lot families are the primary way we engage in ongoing relationship with a smaller group of the church, allowing us to be known, serve one another, pray for each other, and facilitate discipleship.

why are lot families on sundays?

the goal for lot family is to provide a worshipful rhythm of rest on sundays where we cease from our daily work and routines in order to celebrate Jesus.

what happens at a lot family gathering?

lot families spend time fellowshipping and worshipping together through reading and discussing the word of God, prayer, song, games, and/or food.

what if i have kids?

bring them! kids are a part of lot family. each group will look a little different, but most will have some established rhythms of childcare and/or worship time for children.

what should i wear?

the atmosphere is casual, relaxed, and welcoming! there is no need to dress up.
