for all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. [romans 2:12]

this verse can spark some deep theological debate and digging. but, at the same time, the message is simple:

there is a price to be paid for sin. your sin and my sin. and that cost is death.
that price was either paid by Jesus on the cross or it will be paid by you and i when Jesus returns. it’s our choice.
there will be no excuses on the day of judgement. we don’t need to completely understand God’s justice. we don’t need to feel like he’s a fair God. we just get to act.
the truth about the price of sin being death regardless of hearing the gospel or not is what motivated paul to spend a huge portion of his life on missionary journeys, and it is what can motivate us to love well and share the gospel in various areas of life.
imagine the potential fruit of our obedience to the call to go and make disciples. imagine the family trees forever changed because we shared the gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit.
it’s our honor to be used by God for his glory. spend time this morning asking God to use you today for his glory. ask him to save those around you.
amen.
