“and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” [acts 4:12]
the name of the man who was rejected – the name of Jesus – is the only one that can save. we know this for ourselves, but why do we forget it when we see the lost around us? why does that not breed urgency to share the gospel? if that describes you, i can think of nothing better than to simply start praying that God will give you a sense of urgency! God knows how to give good gifts to his children, and it is certainly in his will for us to share the gospel!
Lord, forgive us for being reluctant and slothful to share the gospel. help us to see those around us for what they are – condemned without your saving grace. and help us to grow in passion for the gospel so we have the words to say, and so they will see the love in our eyes as we do.
