[3] he restores my soul. he leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. [4] even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, i will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. [psalm 23:3-4]

our Lord is a God of promise who fulfills his word through the person and work of Jesus Christ.

[20] for all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “yes!” [2 cor 1:20]

every promise – every word God has ever spoke to us has been fulfilled in the life, person, and work of Jesus. and, this truth includes the promises here in psalm 23.

today,

  1. look and see the promises spoken to you in this passage,
  2. ask the Lord to help you see the meaning of the promise, (God’s heart, God’s provision) and –
  3. ask the Lord how this promise is yours in the person and power of Jesus.
