i want to take us on a different journey today. i want to give you truth thru the scripture – that i want to prompt, inform, and shape our prayers as walk into his presence today.
all of our prayers will revolve around serving.
let’s enter in and engage the presence of God …
even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” [matt 20:28]
Jesus, remind me right now that you the KING of all kings, the LORD of all lords – came to serve and be a servant. and in serving us, you made a way so i could be with you right now! hear my worship of you and for you the Servant, the one who became low so i could be raised to you!
(take a moment to praise him for who he is and what he always will be.)
no one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. you cannot serve God and money. [matt 6:24]
Father, hear my confession and stir repentance: i confess i try and serve “two master.” hear my confession Lord and stir my heart to walk in joyful, gracious repentance to you today and tomorrow and the next day. thank you for your forgiveness and acceptance of me in Jesus and his service to me with his life, death, and resurrection. Lord give me a sister / brother to go to today and share this burden. may they walk in grace and truth with me.
(take a moment. wait. if you know the 2nd “master”. confess it now. if not, let the Lord bring something to your heart and mind that is keeping you from being fully “devoted” to him.)
i thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. [phil 1:3-5]
i thank you Lord for getting to serve with many who love you and love me. hear me as i call out there names and thank you for them today,.
[take a moment a thank your God for those who are partnering in the gospel with you.]
for God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. [heb 6:10]
Father, help me believe that you bear the fruit in any and all serving i have done for your your name. remind me today and help me believe with greater faith that you will bear fruit in all the work i while abiding with you. i may not see it now, i may only see dry fields, or little fruit. in your time, you will bear fruit by your Spirit.
[pray now and ask God to bear fruit in the places and lives you are sowing. pray that you will abide thru the Spirit and pray for greater faith to believe in his timing – fruit will come by his hand.]
