i am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel [galatians 1:6]
o Lord, my heart is prone to wander, remind me today your grace is greater!
i am amazed at this inner battle, remind me today your grace is greater!
i so quickly turn to other saviors, remind me today your grace is greater!
and in doing, i desert you, remind me today your grace is greater!
my desire to make much of me rages, remind me today your grace is greater!
the temptation to make less of you is there, remind me today your grace is greater!
my efforts cry out for recognition, remind me today your grace is greater!
my failures move me to hide, remind me today your grace is greater!
every where i turn, others are calling, remind me today your grace is greater!
every time i turn, you are there, remind me today your grace is greater!
every act i do never satisfies, remind me today your grace is greater!
every savior fails, remind me today your grace is greater!
speak today o Lord, call me in your grace to turn from my self-righteous heart and rest in your righteousness. remind me today, your grace is greater than all my self-righteous acts. as you remind me, as you embrace me, grow my love for you! grow my desire for your words! grow my longing for your righteousness and yours alone! in Jesus name, amen!
