God alone does wondrous things.
how is your awe of God today? our culture is filled with things designed to evoke that feeling of awe: from professional sports teams to star wars to governments competing over military strength, everyone is competing for our awe. we serve a God, however, who is so much bigger, more powerful, and more wonderful than we can ever imagine. how could we forget?
Lord, forgive us for looking to worldly things to get the awe we are supposed to reserve for you. remind us once again of your greatness. may every mountain, sunrise, and fleeting breath be a reminder that we are nothing without you, and there is none like you. you are our God, and we are your people. use us, send us, mold us; we will joyfully obey you, our wondrous God.
