i long for your salvation, o Lord, and your law is my delight. [psalm 119:174]

i  wonder …

i sometimes think about …

i get serious about when i am in trouble …

all these are much different than …

i long for

what is your need for salvation? do you long for his salvation?

if you are separated from the Lord by your sin and have never trusted in Jesus as the one who took the judgment you deserve for your sin – your need for salvation is great. i pray that if you are reading this and God has opened your eyes to see that you have never truly trusted Jesus to make you right with God so you can be with God – that you would trust Jesus now. call out to him – “Jesus i am a sinner, forgive me. i trust that you alone can make me right with God. i turn from all other saviors and turn to you alone!” if this is your heart – cry out to him right now and he will save.

if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. for with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. [romans 10:9-10]

if you have confessed Jesus as Lord and trust him as your right standing before God, your need for salvation today is just as great. you don’t need to be saved again. Jesus says,

“i give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. my Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. i and the Father are one.” [john 10:28-30]

your eternal relationship with God is secure by the work of Jesus and nothing you can do earned that relationship and nothing you can do un-earns that relationship. that is grace. no, you don’t need to be “saved” again – but your need for salvation is great today.

you need …

… to be kept from shame and ungodly guilt that will come and say you are not worthy, you are unfaithful, and God does not love you. how could he?

… your belief in God’s steadfast love toward you in Christ to grow and consume the shame and guilt that says otherwise. [ps 119:41]

… to be kept from the enemy who comes to steal, kill, and destroy your life, your testimony, your hope in Jesus. [john 10:10]

… your believe that Jesus has more abundant life for you than any lie your flesh, this world, or the enemy whispers or screams at you! [john 10:10]

there is so much we all need saving from that only Jesus and his grace by his work can save us from.

most of all …

o saint please hear this,

he died …

to save you to himself.

for this and to this we all need “saving” everyday. we all need to remember, we were made right with God – so we could be with God. this is our true salvation. may this drive our prayers today!
