hear my voice according to your steadfast love; o Lord, according to Your justice give me life. [psalm 119:149]
how much must God love us to truly listen to us! we go to him with worries He commanded us not to worry about, fears we forget to pray about, and with a lack of understanding that must test his limitless patience! and he does so while watching us put ourselves in most of the situations we pray about!
God has promised never to forsake us or turn a deaf ear to our prayers – what would it look like to live like that was true? would it change the way you pray? would it change the way you listen?
Lord, thank you for giving us your patience and for always listening to our prayers. teach our hearts to live in that assurance – both praying boldly in faith and listening with caring ears to those around us.
