i am small and despised, yet I do not forget your precepts. [ps 119:141]

do not forget. please, as God asks us all through his word … remember his words. for in them is Life, for in them is Hope, for in them is our Savior and God.

remember.

  • God said to moses, “I AM who I AM.” and he said, “say this to the people of israel: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” this is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations. [ex 3:14-15]
  • then moses said to the people, “remember this day in which you came out from egypt, for by a strong hand the Lord brought you out from this place. no leavened bread shall be eaten. [ex 13:3]

  • remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. [ex 20:4]

  • the Lord said to moses, “speak to the people of Israel, and tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a cord of blue on the tassel of each corner. and it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after. [num 15:37-39]

  • so you shall remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God. [num 15:40]

  • remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles and the judgments he uttered, [1 chron 16:12]

  • these things i remember, as I pour out my soul: how i would go with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God with glad shouts and songs of praise, a multitude keeping festival. [ps 42:4]

  • my soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when i remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; [ps 63:5-6]

  • i will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, i will remember your wonders of old. [ps 77:11]

  • remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. behold, i am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? [is 43:18-19]

  • when my life was fainting away, i remembered the Lord, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple. [jonah 2:7]

  • why do you seek the living among the dead? he is not here, but has risen. remember how he told you, while he was still in galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” and they remembered his words, [luke 24:5-8]

  • remember the word that i said to you: ‘a servant is not greater than his master.’ if they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. if they kept my word, they will also keep yours. [john 15:20]

  • therefore remember that at one time you gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands — remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. but now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. [eph 2:11-13]
  • remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of david, as preached in my gospel, [2 tim 2:8]

  • this is now the second letter that i am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. [2 pet 3:1-3]

  • remember, then, what you received and heard. keep it, and repent. [rev 3:3]
