your promise is well tried, and your servant loves it. [psalm 119:140]

do you trust and love the word of God?

simple question – but more difficult to answer. today, as you meet with God, let me encourage you to plead for this request before God: get specific and pray the scripture as you are asking for the Lord to increase your trust and love of his word.

“LORD, help me more fully trust your word!”

let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, [col 3:16]

and we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers. [1 thess 2:13]

comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word. [2 thess 2:17]

“LORD, as you grown my trust, grow my love for you and your word!”

I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. [eph 33:14-19]
