teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes, and I will keep it to the end. [psalm 119:33]
the psalmist specifies who he desires to teach, lead and guide him, Yahweh. he refused to be lead astray by the other false gods that others would have been serving around him. he was specific in who he had a relationship with.
the hebrew word for statutes here is used throughout psalm 119 but with parallel to other references translating to more of a prescribed portion. God’s statutes are allocated to us for our good and His glory.
are you focused on God’s statutes as actions you need to take to be right before Him or receiving them as a blessing because of the finished work of Christ?
