a prayer of need:
“when i told you of my ways, you answered me”
LORD, hear my confession and answer me. i need you. i cling to the dust. i long to cling to you. i cling to my sin. i long to cling to you. i cling to good things, but i long to cling to you even more than the good things of this world.
“teach me”
you LORD, you alone can teach me. you alone can open my heart’s eyes. you alone can transform me. you alone can allow me to know you. you alone.
“your statutes”
yes LORD, teach me your statutes. teach me your ways. teach me your will. teach me your truth. teach me your heart. teach me your mind. teach me to know you.
