LORD, anchor us in your character, your identity – your very being today.
you are our Counselor who is beyond our understanding yet understands us, who is beyond our comprehension, yet you make your matchless wisdom so simple to grasp. you are Wonderful Counselor.
you are our GOD who is above all other gods, above all other things, above us. you are greater than the darkest things of this world and more powerful than the darkest things of our soul. you are Almighty God.
you are our Father who is eternal, who has no beginning or no end, who is the Alpha and Omega, who is the Creator and Sustainer of all. we are your sons and daughters for you have made us and remade us in Christ. you have adopted us into your family and you will forever call us your own. you are Everlasting Father.
you are our Peace, you are the ruler of peace, the provider of peace, the author of peace, the sustainer of peace, the very one who alone is peace. you have made us whole, complete, lacking nothing in our souls by your word, your blood, your life. forever we will know true peace, true shalom because you are Peace. you are the Prince of Peace.
this is who you are, and this is what we have in you.
