the signs of a true apostle were performed among you with utmost patience, with signs and wonders and mighty works. [2 cor 12:12]

paul could point out that a mark of him being a true apostle could be found in the evidence of the signs and wonders that happened within the corinthian church. the corinthians saw the signs and wonders of the Almighty God and still questioned paul’s authority and the gospel that he shared.

so Jesus said to him, “unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.” john 4:48

and awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. acts 2:43

now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles. acts 5:12

for false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. mark 13:12

jews demand signs, greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified… the power of God. 1 corinthians 1:22-23

God is able to do everything that aligns with His character which could include signs and wonders today to display His power and glory.

but we cannot miss out on meeting with the Lord daily, resting in his promises and doing his revealed will while only waiting and looking for modern day signs and wonders. it does not diminish God‘s power in him not revealing it to you in the way that you wish to see it.

God, being God, can do anything that he wills. if he wills to show us a sign or wonder then, oh how we can praise him and his power, and if he wills not to, we give the same amount of praise.
