Abba Father,
wake me this morning to the reality that i am in a war. open the eyes of my heart to see the beauty of this world as you redeem and restore souls and your creation. and, open my eyes to see the brokenness of this world. open my eyes.
for you o Lord are my Creator, my Maker, and my Redeemer. you alone are worthy of all praise and honor and glory.
there is an enemy, who defiles your name and disguises himself as your servant to attack and devour your people. wake us, stir us to his ways.
for you o Lord are Wisdom, Knowledge, and Truth. you alone can give me the discernment to see the enemy’s attacks. Holy Spirit speak, give us me truth and may it expose the lies of the devourer.
there is an enemy who seeks not only to deceive me, but destroy me and my brothers and sisters in Christ.
for you o Lord are my protector, my strong tower, my source, my strength, my battler – my victorious warrior. keep me in the shadow of your wing today, and lead me to fix my eyes on you – my Savior.
i pray all this in the name of Jesus – who rose from the dead conquering death and satan – amen!
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [matt 6:13]
i do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. [john 17:15]
the Lord is faithful. he will establish you and guard you against the evil one. [2 thess 3:3]
no, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. for i am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
