for it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. [2 corinthians 10:18]

when we try to prove that we are qualified by the world’s standards, we miss how God wants to use us. God uses the common, the broken and the weak.

eve was deceived. “so when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.” genesis 3:6

peter denied knowing Jesus. “‘but he denied it, saying, ‘woman, i do not know him.’ and a little later someone else saw him and said, ‘you also are one of them.’ but peter said, “man, Iiam not.’” luke 22: 57-58

whether a sin has been committed against you, you’ve sinned against another, you have a disadvantage of any kind, God has chosen you. you are qualified, not because of your accomplishments but because of who God is and your identity as a son or daughter of the King. he desires to be glorified through your weakness.
