we want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of macedonia, [2 corinthians 8:1]

grace – the undeserved favor and power of God – extravagantly given to you thru his presence.

where has God poured out grace on you? where is his undeserved favor or power at work in you? go ahead, make a list and share them in thanksgiving and praise with the Father. let me get you started.

  • he has saved you by his grace and now calls you his own.

where has God poured out grace on those around you? where is his undeserved favor or power at work on those around you?  again, make a list and share them in thanksgiving and praise with the Father.

finally, with whom can you share these stories of God’s grace? paul couldn’t wait to tell the believer’s in corinth of the stories of God’s grace “among the churches of madedonia.” he shared these stories of grace because he knew they needed to be encouraged that God’s extravagant undeserved favor and power is at work in others. they needed to be reminded to live in his great grace. and, he knew like you and i, that hearing of God’s grace fills our soul with hope and joy.

so today, what “brother”, what “sister” will know of and be encouraged by the grace of God because you share a simple story of his undeserved extravagant favor and power?
