and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” [2 cor 6:18]

today, i want to encourage you to sit in the truths expressed in verse 18. please, whatever time you have – dwell, rest, think, and sit in these truths. ask the Spirit of God, who is present, to speak into, to illuminate, and to help you believe they are true. to help in this process, get something to write with so you can put down every truth God shows you. start with asking God to make you aware of his presence, and then ask God to speak. in addition, i added several verses that express the same truths.

Father God, Abba, Daddy – come and make me aware of your presence now. Spirit of the Living God, speak to me as i wait. be loud as you speak! illuminate my heart to see and believe what you say. and, fill my heart with joy because of your presence and your word! in Jesus name – amen!

[12] but to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, [13] who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. [john 1:12]

[26] for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. [27] for as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [gal 3:26-27]

[4] but when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, [5] to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. [6] and because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” [7] so you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. [gal 4:4-7]

[14] for all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. [15] for you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” [16] the Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, [rom 8:14-16]

see what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. [1 john 3:1]
