therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. the old has passed away; behold, the new has come. [2 corinthians 5:17]

in Christ, i am made new. i’m given a new name, a new identity. my flesh may not change, but my heart, my soul, my ultimate desire, the true me, is a completely new and different creation. i am holy, set apart for the glory of God, and now am free to have satisfaction in him. so if i am in Christ, who is this new me? who am i in Christ?

Lord Jesus, remind me of who i am. let me live out of this position of beloved child of the King, not trying to earn it, not trying to keep it, not trying to prove myself worthy, but out of joy and thanksgiving, let me live out of a complete satisfaction in your glory. thank you for making me a new creation.
