[12] now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw – [13] each one’s work will become manifest, for the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. [14] if the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. [15] if anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. [1 corinthians 3:12-15]

each believer will be stand before the judgment seat of Christ.(2 cor 5:10) as believers, we will not face punishment or review of our sins. all these will be covered in Christ and his complete work on our behalf!

there is therefore now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. (romans 8:1)

at your judgment, there will be no condemnation, no punishment, no “talking to” for what you did wrong in this human body. what will happen? there will be reward and loss. reward for all the things the God the Spirit did in and through your life for God the Father’s redemptive work and his glory on this earth. and according to this verse, there will be loss for all the work you did a part from the Spirit for your glory on this earth.

[13] each one’s work will become manifest, for the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. [14] if the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. [15] if anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

what are you doing with your life that will last?

who are you investing eternal things in? where are you sharing Jesus in love and speaking Jesus in truth? what are you doing that will last?

everything you do: will live on and be rewarded, or will burn in your judgment before Christ. you will receive reward for you life in the Spirit or suffer loss for your life a part from the Spirit. may we see today as a grace to reorder our lives under the love and truth of Jesus – so we can share the love and truth of Jesus in all we do and say!

Jesus, i repent of all the ways i have wasted my life on temporary things that will be consumed before you on the last day. by your grace and your work on my behalf, move my heart to reorder my life for you glory. today, help me see what needs to be stopped in my life and what needs to begin. help me see the where and who you are calling me to. and, help me submit to your Spirit so you can do your will and your work in and through my life.
