and we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. [2 corinthians 3:18]

“we all” – all in Christ, all who have been made right with God by Christ.

“beholding the glory of the Lord” – we, being made right with God, now behold the glory of God without fear of condemnation and death.

“are being transformed” – we, right with God and beholding his glory, are being changed. we are being radically and wholly transformed.

“into the same image” – we, right with God, beholding his glory, are being changed into the very image of God. God is restoring his lost glory in us!

“for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” – we, right with God, beholding his glory, are being changed into the very image of God by the Spirit of God.

sit in this truth today and let the power and beauty of who God is and what he is doing fill you, encourage you, and move you to live in this identity today. take a moment and from this passage:

  • worship him for who he.
  • thank him for what he has done.
  • rejoice in him for what he is doing.
  • ask how you can submit to him and the work he has yet to do in you.

LORD, your word is powerful and beautiful. may it cause us to worship, be thankful, rejoice, and plead for your continued move. by Jesus’ work on the cross, the Father’s promise in his word, and the Spirit’s move in us – come have your way in us for your glory and your name! amen!
