and many peoples shall come, and say:
“come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of the God of jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.”
for out of Zion shall go forth the law,
and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

where do you get the truth about life around you? the truth about what is right and wrong?
from the news? friends? social media?
a quick google search reveals that the average person spends just shy of 2 and a half hours on social media PER DAY.
our hearts are clearly longing for something. maybe its truth, entertainment, comfort, connection…
our God has had a better plan since the beginning of time, and we see it here in isaiah 2:3.
“out of Zion shall go the law, and the word of the Lord from jerusalem.”
just prior to that we see isaiah prophesy that many peoples (i.e. gentiles) will say “let us go up to the mountain of the Lord… that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.”
we serve the God of the universe whose ways are perfect, who is justice, and still draws near to those who call on the name of Jesus.
may we worship him today for who he is, and may we go to him as our source of truth.
