after this paul left athens and went to corinth. and he found a jew named aquila, a native of pontus, recently come from italy with his wife priscilla, because claudius had commanded all the jews to leave rome. and he went to see them, and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade. and he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and tried to persuade Jews and Greeks. [acts 18:1-4]

Jesus saves – we serve

don’t forget your place – and his!

there is one main thing God reminded me of through this whole advent journey – Jesus saves.

we might readily agree with this truth – but how many times have you

reasoned

argued

begged

persuaded

loved and

served

others – hoping that somehow YOU could convince them to be saved.

Jesus alone saves!

we serve.

don’t take a vacation from the LORD the rest of these holidays.

he still delights in you and wants to meet with you.

he still loves you and wants to be with you.

and,

he still has people he wants you to serve in truth and love – with words and actions.

but o LORD, please don’t let us forget our place.

Jesus saves.

we serve.
