“and you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. and you shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.” immediately the word was fulfilled against nebuchadnezzar. he was driven from among men and ate grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair grew as long as eagles’ feathers, and his nails were like birds’ claws. [daniel 4:32-33]

immediately the word was fulfilled

God always keeps his word because … he is the Word.

in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [john 1:1]

for all the promises of God find their yes in him (Jesus Christ). [1 cor 1:20]

“do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; i have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” – Jesus  [matt 5:17]

Jesus spoke the Word, he is the living embodiment of the Word, and he fulfilled the Word in all he is and would do.

that God keeps his word can never be our issue. he has and will keep his word, because he is the Word.

the timing of God keeping his word – often seems to be our issue.

we want God to fulfill his promises on our schedule, in our time, in our way. we want this because we don’t want to suffer, we don’t want others to suffer, we want to be in control, we don’t want to face discipline, and for a host of other reasons. we want our time because at the end of the day, it is often not about God’s promises or God – rather, our concern is getting our agenda done.

today, know this.

God is keeping his word all around, in you, and through you.

every moment he is fulfilling his word.

and, every moment he is in the process of fulfilling his word – we just don’t always get to see it.

today, will you faith him, trust him – that he is keeping his word.

ask him now to increase your faith in him to keep his word.

ask him now to increase your faith in him that he is good – even if you cannot see the fruition of a promise right now.

ask him now to fulfill his promise. but ask in humility. you are not God. it is his will that matters. you are his servant. you are not his master. but he is a good father, a good and loving father. so, you can ask.

pray and ask now.
