mlkidz is only offered at our 6:45pm worship gathering on wednesday nights.
purpose:
gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger
who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the
Lord your God and carefully observe all the words of this law, and that their children,
who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God as long as
you live in the land.
deuteronomy 31:12-13
we believe that children have an imperative need and a desire to know God and that
children can begin to learn about God's grace from a very early age.
(mark 10:13-16). our desire is for children to become so familiar with the word that
they whole-heartedly understand and believe that Christ alone is the
one who saves and fulfills their hearts desire. we believe that a love of God
and desire to know Him starts at home
with the parents leading their children to a better understanding of the love of Christ.
matthias mini's is not a babysitting service, but rather, a safe place where children
can learn with their peers about God's greatness and his work through his son.
our prayer is that a child’s experience in matthias mini's would aide in their growth
and in turn create a deep-rooted faith throughout adolescence and adulthood so
they would go on to lead a fruit bearing life. (matthew 8:16-20)
what we do:
because we truly believe that children are capable of praising and learning about
Christ (psalm 148:12) the church body worships and praises God as a family unit.
while the parents are in their teaching time, the children will be actively participating
in their own separate teaching time. children are placed with their peers based on
age and their abilities to participate.
by partnering with parents in communicating the greatness of God, we pray that
your child would come to have a relationship with Christ. we believe it is the parent
who is ultimately responsible for their child's spiritual maturity (proverbs 22:16).
we only have enough time to scratch the surface during these practical
biblical teachings. throughout the week, we encourage each parent to build
on their weekly teachings.
