marc sikma
marc was raised in kankakee, illinois. after living a short while in iowa, marc landed in vandalia, illinois where he spent his athletic high school years. he met his beautiful wife heidi when they were only 12 years old, began dating when they were 16, and were married at 22 after both graduating from mckendree university. marc and heidi have 2 children, avery (august of 2006) and dawson (may of 2009). together they live in downtown st. charles with an obsession for the city...it's people, it's history, and it's potential. marc spent 7 years as a youth pastor before joining with jason zellmer to plant matthias' lot in 2005. after wrestling for over 18 months with the call to plant a church, it became clear that God desired to start matthias with a purpose of advancing the gospel in st. charles city.
responsibilities at matthias: primary visionary & teacher.
desire for matthias: that we would have a love for the city of st. charles that transcends all comfort, all barriers, and all cultural stipulations.

matt mcneil
matt was born and raised in florissant, mo. and graduated from hazelwood central high school. he grew up knowing from a very young age he had a call to serve. at the age of twenty he was married to his high school sweet heart danita (shes the bomb). together they have two amazing young boys austin (brilliant) and ayden (hilarious). matt is college educated with an associates degree from ranken technical college in computer networking technologies (but would prefer most people not know he is a skilled techy). as a couple, matt and danita have spent several years pursuing what it means for the church to really be the church. after journeying together in ohio for 5 years they found themselves seeking where God would have them serve in st. louis. after only one visit to matthias in october of 2005 they considered themselves officially “matthias crispy”.
responsibilities at matthias: assisting the rest of the elder team in shepherding the flock, teaching, oversight of the children’s ministry, lot family leader, and plenty of techy stuff.
desire for matthias: that we discover a gospel rhythm together as a community and become founded in the words, works, and worship of Jesus.
jeff burzynski
jeff was born and raised in mcleansboro, a small town in southern illinois. with a love for Jesus Christ, family, and sports he moved to the st. louis area where he met his incredible wife of seven years, elizabeth. three years into their marriage, with their son Lukas at their side, they felt led to start one of the best journeys of their life, helping plant matthias' lot church. since then they have added two more children, grace & aaron. you can often find jeff playing any type of sport, especially basketball, ping pong and carams (Lukas is going to be a national champion).
responsibilities at matthias: finances, teaching, and encouraging
desire for matthias' lot: that we will be a body that quickly gets past all of the fluff and gets real with each other focusing on the Savior.

danita mcneil
danita was born in south st. louis where she lived until the 8th grade. she attended hazelwood west high school and met her husband matt at the age of 15. together they have two amazing boys, austin and ayden, to whom she dedicates her day educating and cultivating. she is her husbands helpmate, encourager and best friend.
responsibilities at matthias: danitas responsibilities as children’s director include striving for every child at matthias to have a personal knowledge and love for Christ.
desire for matthias: that we can truly become a church that loves His people and for every parent to not only share but live out what they are communicating with their kids about Christ.
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
